This area of the USA has always held a fascination for me and my father both. While he was alive we hiked many of the miles and as he aged, we view by automobile. Dad was a true, native born "westerner:, born in Paul Idaho and raised in Bend Oregon. My mother and he lived in St.George, Utah, the final years of their lives. He was in good physical health and loved to wander the surrounding environs up until age 91. Born of "wagon-train immigrant, Mormons from Sweden,Denmark and Wales.
